On Aug. 8, 2014 a woman found an injured long eared owl. She caught it and put it in a carrier. She ran inside to get her keys and purse, when she came back out another long eared owl was sitting outside the carrier, whooting along with the confined owl. She took the injured owl to the Morningstar Vet clinic. The male owl had a broken wing that required pinning. The owl was released Nov. 18, right back where he came from. Several weeks later, the owls were seen and heard in the early morning moonlight once again on her roof, whooing, whooing together! Read the full story here
